*Player Update*

We are delighted to announce that we have managed to retain the services of all of our award winning players from last season, Player of the Year Ben Shepherd, Player's Player Graham Sands and Supporter's Player Pat Diamond have all signed for us again.  Joel "the goal" McCormick has signed as has the all action midfielder Ieuan Riley who is also the early contender for the armband this season.  Darryl Phillips has put pen to paper and could be one to watch this term as he put in some impressive performances towards the end of the last campaign.  Club Captain Chris Robson has also committed to the Robins again for the coming season as has goalkeeper Matt Bines.  We are pleased to see Craig Ross back with us again also, he showed good signs last summer but his season was cut short by injury, hopefully he can stay fit and show us what he can do this time round.

In all, 22 players have signed to date including a number of new faces.  We will introduce the new players on here at some point but in the meantime you can have a look yourselves at any of our preseason games.

Event: David Wilson Homes lend a hand

We are both proud and excited to be able to announce that a very generous sponsorship arrangement has been finalised with national housebuilder David Wilson South Midlands for the forthcoming season.
David Wilson South Midlands, are building a brand new development at nearby Windsor Park on London Road, Buckingham and they have donated 2000.00 pounds, enabling the club to play the next 20 home games without financial pressures.
Chairman Vince Hyde comments, "We are extremely pleased, David Wilson Homes has been incredibly supportive and we really appreciate it."
"It is a huge relief that David Wilson Homes stepped in at the right time. It is a very large sum of money for us and we are not sure what we would have done without the sponsorship  life would have been very difficult that is for sure."
"It has definitely put a smile on everyones face."
Jackie Day, Sales Director at David Wilson Homes South Midlands, comments "As a housebuilder, we endeavour to support the local communities where we build our developments.
"Buckingham Town FC is such an established club, when we heard of their troubles, we really wanted to support them. We are very pleased we could help them in such a positive way."
The forthcoming development Windsor Park will bring 83 new homes to the established community in Buckingham.
The pictures show Vince Hyde, Darren Seaton, Chris Robson and Zac Wade receiving the cheque at The Steeples, Calvert along with Yvonne Shuttleworth of David Wilson Homes.

Player Meeting 07-06-12

We are holding a player meeting at The Woolpack next Thursday (7th June) at 730pm.  This meeting will be open to players past, present and future and will offer the opportunity to express views, opinions and concerns along with presenting the committee with the chance to talk about future plans and recent decisions etc.

The club would appreciate it if anyone other than playing staff and officials would respect our wishes to be able to speak firstly with players for now (I'm sure there are good vantage points for any would-be eavesdroppers!". Rest assured, the opportunity for everyone concerned with this great old club to get their points across good or bad will be available in the very near future.

Sometimes in life it is necessary to take the "right" decision rather than the "comfortable" decision however difficult and unpopular this may be.  I would like to personally thank Kit for his efforts this season and I'm sure he will take what he has experienced at BTFC and use it in his personal development as his football career progresses.
