Bucks Charity Cup First Leg QF

Stony Stratford 1-3 BTFC
The players are more than aware that we are not just in this competition to make the numbers up, we are in competitions to win, and last nights performance showed that.
The squad was used, and it gave us the opportunity to rest 3 players due to injuries, so in came Daryl Phillips and Daley Cross from the development team.
BTFC got off to an impressive start with James Wardell

finding the back of the net after 3 minutes, and then Kyle Stimpson made it 0-2 after 8 minutes with what could be described as a wonder goal!!
Stony to their credit got a goal back after 15 minutes with a Strike from outside the box, but BTFC had more than enough possession and should have found the back of the net a further 2-3 times.
The second half showed more ball retention by Buckingham and they were moving the ball quicker and creating more space for the attacking players.
It also gave me the opportunity to move players around and use all 3 substitutes, and to me that is important to the squad.
The third goal came after Kyle Stimpson reacted well, and latched onto a sloppy back pass from a Stony defender, Stimpson went to round the keeper who brought him down in the box for a BTFC penalty. yellow card for the keeper and Graham Sands

slotted home the perfect penalty.
Another turning point in this game was when Stony were given a penalty 5 minutes from time but Matt Bines again helped his team mates out and pulled of a fantastic save.

The players and squad are developing well and I can not praise them enough for the work ethic and football they are playing.
lets all keep our feet on the ground and take each game as it comes and continue this unbeaten streak.
