Eddie Coles, some very sad news.

Good Evening everyone. It is with great sadness that I must let you all know of the passing of Eddie Coles. Eddie was one of the great Buckingham Town characters and had been associated with the Robins for many, many years and was unmistakable thanks to his colourful appearance!

You could always rely on Eddie, ask him to help with something and it was as good as done and he could often be found at Ford Meadow helping with the upkeep of the place. I wouldnt like to guess how many hours he put into Buckingham Town over the years.

We at Buckingham Town wish to offer our heartfelt condolances to Eddies family and friends, we share your loss. A good friend, good man and a Robin through and through. He will be greatly missed.

Buckingham Charity Cup QF Second leg.

Buckingham Town 4-0 Stony Stratford Town
Buckingham Town progressed through to the Semi Final of the Buckingham Charity Cup with a comprehensive victory at Stony Stratford. Leading 3-1 from the 1st leg, James Wardell, the Robins Skipper on the night, put his side In front after 10 minutes with a pint point header from a Nick Bines Corner, this in effect killed the tie and it was only going to get worse for Stony.

Cory Lee, who came on at half time took 3 minutes to score his comeback goal with a near post header, to increased Town's lead.
Kyle Stimpson got the 3rd on the night, receiving the ball in the box and calmly lifted it over the home 'keeper before rolling the ball into the back of the net. Stimpson was then fouled on the edge of the area and it was Graham Sands who converted from the spot, to make it 4-0 nil on the night and 7-1 on Agg.
Buckingham will now play Banbury United in the Semi Final, who lead Winslow United 7-0 from the 1st leg.
M.Bines, Phillips, Menday, Diamond, Hull, Shepherd, Sands, Riley, N.Bines, Wardell, Stimpson. Subs all used -Whitmore, Baldwin and Lee.

A pleasing result on the night and the team performed very well over the 2 legs. Scoring 7 goals and only conceding 1
Having some of the defence back for this tie was important but we still have some long term injuries and will need to shuffle things about again over the next few weeks.
