The come back of the season:

Bugbrooke's hopes of a second placed finish were dashed by Buckingham's second half fightback

" What a performance it was "

The team was slightly rotated as players have been asked to play alot of games in recent weeks and had previously played on Tuesday evening.

Things went well enough for the Badgers in the first half. They opened up a two goal lead through Brad Janes after 20 minutes and Chris Davies eight minutes later -Zac will hold his hands up in the BTFC goal and will learn from those slight errors of judgement he made but lets remember he is only 16..

Daryl Phillips, who was playing centre back was allowed to go up for a corner and replied for Buckingham ten minutes before the interval.

BTFC were on the back foot for most of the half and at times showed some inconsistency in their play, so big words were said at at half time and 3 substitutes were made.

This was a big gamble but the gamble paid off !!

Second Half:

The Second half didnt start the best and the Badgers remained on course for the win which would take them into the final game with a chance of edging Harborough out of second place when Mick Parkes restored their two goal margin after 55 minutes with a superb 20 yard strike that looped over Matt Bines in the BTFC goal.

Then the fight back happened, another corner for BTFC and Phillips reduced the arrears again after 62 minutes -( "Daryl a brace means 2 goals" )

at 3-2 Buckingham became stronger and Bugbrooke had no answer to the BTFC late salvo.

Joel McCormick was inspirational and levelled for the Robins after 82 minutes from a free kick, and then in the 89th minute Matt Bines made a fantastic save and BTFC broke quickly down the right with McCormick feeding a perfect pass to Kyle Stimpson who slotted home for a superb winner.
What a game! Well done lads, outstanding.
