Shepherds "SCREAMER"

Rothwell Corinthains 1 - 1 BTFC

An entertaining encounter at Sergeants Lawn ended with honours even. Buckingham started strongly forcing a number of early corners, but were unable to make the breakthrough. It was Corinths who went ahead with their first real chance after 22 minutes, Sam Johnson netting with a fierce cross shot from the edge of the box.Nick Bines almost levelled two minutes later, breaking clear on the right, but his first effort was saved by home custodian Ben Holdsworth with a defender blocking the follow up.Ben Shepherd wasted a good chance for the Robins, shooting wildly after a fine run.
At the other end Shaun Morris and Tony Ielapi created an opening for Elliot Roberts to shoot wide.
At the start of the second half Sam Johnson shot over for Corinthians after being played clear by strike partner Ielapi. End to end play saw Graham Sands shoot just too high from a deep Bines corner, and when Corinths replied Luke Bewers' well struck effort from distance found Zac Wade well placed to save. Sam Barker's goal line clearance denied Sam Johnson his second goal after the home keeper had taken the ball round Wade.
Buckingham levelled after 66 minutes, substitute James Wardell's pass picking out Shepherd "WHO SCREAMED LIKE A GIRL" and coolly sat Holdsworth on the floor before slotting home.

Buckingham: Zac Wade, Daley Cross, Sam Barker, Daryl Phillips, Jako Kasprzyk, Graham Sands, Ben Shepherd, Pat Diamond, Kyle Stimpson, Paul Hull (James Wardell), Nick Bines (Ieuan Riley).
