Robins edge away win in 7-goal thriller
Northampton Sileby Rangers 3 - 4 Buckingham Town ( Stimpson 2, Bannister, OG )
Kyle Stimpson score a dramatic Injury time winner to give the Robins all 3 points against Sileby Rangers.
Jimi Enefua gave Rangers the lead on the quarter hour, but Kyle Stimpson equalised four minutes later with a far post header from a Ben Shepherd corner.
Buckingham took a 34th minute lead after Shepherd hit the cross bar with a fierce shot only for the rebound to go straight to Rob Bannister to nestle the ball into the back of the net.
BTFC were forced into an early change as Chris Robson was poorly tackled and had to go to hospital due to a suspected broken ankle, Nick Bines replaced Robson.
Two minutes before the break, some indecision between Mike Bell and the defence allowed Enefua to get his second and both teams went in at 2-2
The second half was as entertaining as the first, but it was Sileby who went 3-2 up, Shaun Daly was allowed to much space and with out a challenge he shot past Mike Bell in the Buckingham goal.
A change was made and McCormick came on for Bannister and BTFC started to work on the Sileby defence to try and get the equaliser.
Then 18 minutes from time Wardell attacked from the right and crossed the ball in to the box only for Joe Rich to score an OG to bring the teams level at 3-3.
Then with a formation change allowing Stimpson to go up front BTFC really started to carve the Sileby defence apart, McCormick, Bines and Stimpson all came close, and in the third minute of stoppage time Stimpson shot hard and low to get the dramatic late winner to the delight of the players.
Bell, Jakub, Cross, Diamond, Stimpson (Phillips)Lee, Riley, Shepherd, Robson ( Bines)
