Ascot play at Step 5 (we are Step 6) in the football pyramid system.
They are 13th out of 21 in the Hellenic Premier League after 10 games. Their record in the league this season is won 3, drawn 1, lost 6 They have scored 14 goals, 7 of them were scored by Jon Bennett. Bennett has netted in 7 different games, usually when they have been comprehensively beaten but his goal against Ardley Utd did earn them a point. Ascot have conceded 22 goals in their ten league games.
They lost 4-2 on Saturday against Holyport who were recently knocked out of the FA Vase by our neighbours Winslow Utd (Step 7).
Their Manager and his assistant both play for the first team too which obviously leaves a third person in charge from the sidelines which is not ideal.
They started the season playing 4-4-2 but have switched to a 4-3-3 in the last two games with top scorer Bennett playing on the right of three up top.
They are susceptible to quick breaks and pacy players in general.
They are a step above but it is a winnable game.
